Well, when I started OMG OS X! I had in mind more of a small, personal site that would get little to no traffic – a bit of a hobby if you will. It’s obvious that the name was pretty much mimicking OMG! UBUNTU! – considering the fact that I’ve always been a frequent visitor of that site, and like I said, I didn’t expect to get much traffic. Although we’re not getting a ridiculous amount of visitors every day just yet, that number is quickly increasing all the time. That said, I didn’t want to keep ripping off the folks at OMG! UBUNTU! – it just seemed cheap and unprofessional. Thus, Mac Inphormer was born.
Another reason I wanted to get away from the obnoxious OMG OS X! thing is simply because I was getting ridiculously bored trying to find strictly OS X stories to cover. Yeah, we have a few iOS articles on here, but I’d like to venture into a lot more of that type of thing – as well as a more broad range of computer and tech topics. The main focus is still going to be aimed at Apple products, but I’d like to get some Android, Windows and Linux posts going as well.
