Google+ is no doubt one of the most popular, albeit newest, social networks out there. With the way everyone obsessively checks in on sites like Plus, it can become bothersome to keep typing in the url and going to the actual page every five minutes. So, why not just have a nice little tab that sits up in your desktop panel?
Tab for Google+ is a lightweight application (similar to MailTab for Gmail) that sits in your system tray, diligently fetching your latest news stream from Google Plus. It basically just takes the mobile site and adds a bit of a more polished interface to it, as well as some extra features and preferences. The mobile web is a hell of a lot more attractive today than it was five or six years ago, essentially providing cross-platform mini applications for use on the go rather than the primarily plain text versions of websites that it was in the early 2000′s.
